DataVideo DAC-5 DV to SDI Bi-Directional Converter

The DAC5 converts SDI video and AES/EBU audio to and from FireWire DV audio/video.Select from SDI or DV inputs.Selectable 12 Bit or 16 Bit Audio. Dip switches control the FireWire frequency settings on the converter, NTSC/PAL video standards and DV auto selection.

Monitor your video in Composite, Component or SVideo.There are two channels (RCA connectors) to monitor Audio output RCA terminals (unbalanced). For balanced audio, use the BAC03 audio accessory or connect through the DB15 connector.Use the blackburst output to lock a Betacam deck to the DAC10. Two channels AES/EBU Ch1/Ch2 In and Out thru the DSub 15 pin to BNC adaptor. This unit can be rackmounted with optional rackmount.

• Bi-Directional - This device possesses the capability of converting SDI and AES/EBU digital audio signals to DV and vice versa.

• Analog Video Selection - The user is able to select Component, Composite or Y/C video for monitoring according to the application.

• Audio Selection - The audio encoding frequency can be selected in either 12 Bit or 16 Bit.

• Video Standard Selection - NTSC or PAL video standards can be selected.

• Black Burst Output - The black burst output allows reference for betacam machines to link to the DAC-5.
